We are here to be accessible, approachable, proactive and
fiscally responsible. We are committed to working with current Borough Council members to continue to provide strong leadership for the Borough. We are looking forward to continuing investment in environmental programs such as the development of the open-space plan, Borough-wide compost program, development of park space such as that at 5th and Broomall Streets.
On Public Safety, we will ensure the continuation of Media as a very safe town for our residents and visitors; Lead implementation of public safety plan including addressing traffic safety, establish goals in long-term planning, provide resources as needed for public safety staff, Invest in pedestrian-friendly areas/crosswalks and much more.
Lisa has been calling Media Borough her hometown for over 17 years. She is a former science teacher who is now a part-time bookkeeper and full-time mother of four boys. Lisa has served on Media Borough’s Recreation Board for the last seven years, helping to plan some of the Borough’s signature programming like the Easter Egg Hunt and the Independence Day Celebration. In February 2023 Lisa was appointed to serve as interim Borough Council member.
Additionally, she gives back to the community by volunteering with the Parent Teacher Groups at Penncrest High School and Media Elementary School, the Cub Scouts, the Boy Scouts and at her church. In her spare time, she can be found reading, crocheting, solving the New York Times crossword, beating her son in Boggle, playing with her two cats and laughing at bad puns.
Lisa is drawn to many aspects of the Borough, but particularly loves the friendly and welcoming residents of Media who help make her feel a part of a bigger community and the countless opportunities to get involved and make an impact. As a Media Democrat, Lisa wants to help build an even stronger, more connected and safer community – one where we provide even more opportunities for our residents of all ages and business owners to feel even more supported and included. Lisa plans to utilize her experiences with local government to pursue more opportunities for affordable housing, greater socio-economic diversity, preserving open space, supporting our vibrant business community and creating more occasions for adults, children and teens to come together. As a long-time resident of Media and parent of younger and older children in the community, Lisa is excited to bring her unique voice and perspective to Council.
The moment Tray Herman became a resident of Media Borough in 2015 he knew he was home and he has been active in our community ever since. A graduate of Penn State Brandywine and Monsignor Bonner High School, Tray works in Information Technology Operations for a local manufacturing firm, overseeing the implementation and development of IT projects to aid in business needs. He is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Policy and frequently mentors newcomers to IT and STEM. Active with the Media Democratic Committee since 2019, Tray has served as an At Large Committee person of the Media Democrats since 2020 and took on the role of co-Chair in 2021. When he is not a part-time caregiver to his parents, Tray spends his spare time playing the drums, working on 3D printing and modeling, off-roading and repairing Jeeps, watching documentaries and reading biographies.
As the son of a teacher and a civil rights activist, growing up in Overbook and working throughout Delaware County and the Main Line, Tray has developed a unique outlook on life. Tray loves the walkability and peacefulness that Media offers and is looking to build on our excellent existing mass transit, including SEPTA’s Trolley Modernization Project that will be implemented over the next few years. He feels the strong call to serve his community and believes he can effectively utilize his skills and experience as a Media Borough Councilperson to support our residents, build on the town’s momentum and maintain it as a place others feel drawn to and can feel at home.
Paul M. Robinson is excited to be the incumbent member of the Media Democrats running for Media Borough Council. Paul and his wife have lived in Media Borough for almost 50 years and have raised their two now-adult children here. Paul works for a local government trust as an advisor, supporting over 300 clients with their investments, but he still finds time to help local organizations like the Rose Tree Colts, Optimist Lacrosse, Media Youth Center, and Media Fellowship House. Paul was previously a Journeyman Farrier and now enjoys antiquing, working on his golf game, playing with his two dogs and spending time with his grandkids.
Paul takes pride in the connections he has built with the community and in the successes he has had in serving on Media Borough Council since 1992, and he is now seeking re-election. He has helped draft the current zoning code and is helping to advance the Borough’s form-base zoning initiative, and has worked on two Borough Comprehensive Plans that guide the future actions of the Borough in terms of transportation, utilities, land use, recreation, and housing. Paul is running again so that he can continue to be an active participant in the dynamic community that is Media Borough.
Serving on every committee of Council over his tenure has allowed Paul to appreciate how fortunate we are to live in this special place where there is always something fun to do with great places to eat and shop. In fact, he believes Media still has the magic of the town he grew up in. Paul is looking forward to working with the new Borough Council to preserve the qualities that continue to make Media Everybody’s Hometown.
Pat Henigan - Candidate for District Judge
Pat was born and raised in Philadelphia. He attended St. Joseph’s Preparatory School on a scholarship earning ten varsity letters; matriculating to St. Joseph’s University and graduating on the Dean’s List. Pat played varsity soccer at St. Joe’s. Pat earned his J.D. from Rutgers which he attended at night while working full time.
Pat has a broad scope of litigation experience. He has tried in excess of ninety civil cases to verdict in Federal and State Courts, argued appeals before, among others, the Pennsylvania Supreme and Federal Court of Appeals. Pat serves as the Solicitor for Collingdale Borough.
Pat has been involved in Democratic politics his entire; serving as a committee person in Haverford for five years and then for twelve years when he moved to Marple. He served on the Marple Planning Commission for nine years serving as Chairman for several years. Pat moved to Media eight years ago.
Frequently lecturing his fellow attorneys on trial skills, Pat has been a member of the DCBA and served as a Director for several years. Pat has been recognized by the Federal Courts for his work on pro bono panels and recognized as the Best Litigation Lawyer or Intellectual Property Lawyer by the News of Delaware County every year from 2015 through 2022.
Pat remains active in soccer; coaching Travel Soccer Coach (HSC/MNSA) for thirty years, coaching the Ireland Soccer Team in Philadelphia Unity Cup. Pat also enjoys trail racing and has run multiple ultramarathons across the country.
